Brilliant stuff from Richard to be fair

Rode them to sleep but I've seen it a few times where he makes it obvious he's going for a flyer and they don't react.
Report Rider November 26, 2015 3:44 PM GMT
how many winners have you ridden?
Report Oceanfinance November 26, 2015 3:48 PM GMT
One more than McCoy in my armchair
Report Dr Crippen November 26, 2015 4:18 PM GMT
They'd closed right up coming into the straight and had every chance, then he pulled away again.
Report mincer11 November 26, 2015 4:29 PM GMT
And they closed up without using any energy , is that what you were saying ?
Report ima_mazed66 November 26, 2015 4:45 PM GMT
It's not just Johnson they do it with, it's just as with McCoy when they did it to him too, you will/would note it more due to those two being high profile.

When any jockey builds up a long lead, there's always the chance he/she will nick it from the front due to none of the others wanting to do the donkey work for everyone else, by chasing down the leader and giving everything else a tow along.

That's why you then often see the rest of the jockeys panic late on when their hand is forced and they have to start chasing the leader the longer the race goes on.

No, you just suggested that.
Report mincer11 November 26, 2015 4:54 PM GMT
Dr Crippen, you dont seem like the sharpest tool in the box.
Report Dr Crippen November 26, 2015 5:01 PM GMT
mincer why do people like you always resort to insults when you lose the argument?

Is that all you've got?
Report Dr Crippen November 26, 2015 5:03 PM GMT
I doubt if there was anything any of the jockeys could have done today to stop that one winning once it got to the front.
Report mincer11 November 26, 2015 5:13 PM GMT
And the judge of winning and losing the argument is yourself dr, its safe to say you win alot of arguments on that basis.
There was nothing any jockey could do, because they gave it a furlong lead.
Report Dr Crippen November 26, 2015 5:30 PM GMT
A furlong in front eh?

The commentator called the lead no more than ten lengths on three occasions.
They started to close going into the bend and they'd closed right up coming out.

The horse was far too good for any of them today.
Report ima_mazed66 November 28, 2015 1:15 AM GMT
I think the suggestion was that those giving the winner a soft lead had to use up some of their finishing energy just to close the gap, and then had nothing left when the winner went on again having had a breather in front due to that soft lead.

A furlong lead is a daft exaggeration though but then what do you expect from the person saying so?
