Just grateful he's not commentating at Cheltenham this weekend.

Never heard such rubbish, Cattermole is one of the most professional, and likeable presenters around - how C4 got rid of him and kept Tanya Stevenson (will she never learn how to present - dire??) and that boring Lee bloke god only knows .

most professional????? yeah the most professional YES MAN i know on the screen........... and a poor commentator a BLUFFER of the highest order.......... I remember he agreed with Mappletoft (another bluffer of the highest order Your all-weather EXPERT) that Adam Mclean is the next apprentice going places that was in 2013 I nearly spit my cornflakes out...... he has rode 5 winners since.....

I always thought Cattermole was fine as a presenter not much cope as a commentator though.  Nevo good grief talk about a fish out of water in the ring.  Racing UK has steadily declined in recent years.  Lydia, Eddie and James when he is on form the rest nowhere.

Robert Waley Cohen and Ian Renton hopefully had the good sense to play back MC's 2013,14 and 15 Cheltenham commentaries and concluded long after most people had already deduced that Cattermole was oblivious to the obvious and seeing things that nobody else was seeing.

Cattermole was never a particularly good commentator and one wonders how he ever got the Cheltenham gig.  He should be so far down the pecking order that hopefully he'll be kicked into the long grass where he belongs.

I think sometimes the problem is that if like me you watch just about all the UK racing 7 days a week you hear so much commentary that you end up disliking them all. Admittedly to varying degrees, but still.
