Plain silver silks sell at Sotheby's for record-breaking £120,000 Tue, 27 October 2015
A plain set of silver silks which went under the hammer at Sotheby’s in London on Monday easily surpassed the British record for such an item as they were knocked down for a whopping £120,000.
Estimated to sell for around £25,000-£35,000 the rare set of plain colours generated a lot of interest and eclipsed the previous record of £60,000 held by a plain lime green set.
The Graham Budd Sporting Memorabilia auction saw 13 sets of silks released by the British Horseracing Authority for sale

No - Deltâ - I have tried to bring the Sale up on the Results on the Sotheby's site - it was Monday October 26th 2015 - but without success.
Perhaps when more time I will try again, or elsewhere - or blackbarn will crack it - he being mustard at that sort of thing.

blackbarn has previous listed 'all silver' as being registered to Paul Green, though I can't recall seeing them, assuming that's the same Paul Green as has the blue diamond colours.

Thanks for the faith Onlooker Only 7 sets of colours actually sold - The Ballymacoll, Howard de Walden and Fahd Salman appear not to have sold when offered. There may have been deals done afterwards though
nb - you need to search the Graham Budd Auction site not Sothebys.
