Hunty you know nothing about UK racing either. To do what you do you just need faster pics than the vast majority

Does it really matter how a person makes their money ? ... Even trading in running is a risk so what's the difference ?

back,lay,arb,trade all a gamble...

dopeyone, we can all agree it doesn't matter a jot how anybody else makes money from the game. The trouble comes from roida's failure to acknowledge he's "gambling" on an obscenely uneven field. I think it's pretty obvious the man likes a giggle so there's every chance he's simply on the wind up...pretending he needs to know form etc..

OR he is indeed completely delusional and believes his "edge" isn't 99% about reacting to events unfolding quite a few seconds before they've happened for the mugs...

roidy, no need for luck. The other 1% can be played level but with heavy funds(gained via the adv) pounding beaten horses to accumulate a wage every day. Hardly form reading needed for that either.

bigmart, for the last time, roida's methods of extracting money from the markets are not being questioned. The point was raised about his denials of what his edge actually is, and whether any significant form reading is needed. Imagine a poker player playing with the adv of seeing 1 hole card of each opponent. After his or her stack is built up significantly with this "edge", it can be used as tightly as before or loosened up to any aggression level when the adv is taken away. Do you honestly expect us all to get on our hands and knees and worship such a player??

my edge consists of...a strong opinion...large bank...large balls.

Laying down thousands(gained via adv) to pick up pennies doesn't need a strong opinion nor big balls. Big balls are with the players who are always playing level, laying down thousands when the probability of loss is far greater than 1or2%...

Large balls are big sat dishes in my (ex) line of work.

it's a question of whether you have the mental resilience to carry on after a big loss

some people want to quit; others are convinced they have an edge and want to carry on

It's all about  confidence in your betting selection methodology,
Knowledge/ detailed records of past bets, ( at least 5 years) that show consistent long term level stake profit.
Knowing there will be long losing runs
Having a large enough bank to cater for such runs.

No problem with the 30k photo betting based on result perception and value. The only issue for me is that a photo is a close call and you need to be very clear, very quickly that no interference has taken place. Presume that's the case Roida?
