Typically, a horse given Lasix is not permitted to drink in the four hours before it races. “And if horses aren’t permitted to drink, the result in water loss is that horses are then on average 10lbs to 20lbs lighter,”Laugh

Found hasn't improved to win tonight, surely. Unless you reckon Golden Horn was at his best. She must have been entitled to beat the US turf horses on her European Group One form.
Report bigmart October 31, 2015 11:15 PM GMT
found was given a chance tonight , was never given any chance in the ark as a result had a very easy race , dont think their is much between them to be honest !
she gave golden horn a massive lead in ireland and begged most of it back
was just in behind leaders today 1st time she has been allowed to show her true colours Silly

Surely with drug use there needs to be a global code in place? Every year we get the same issue with Lasix at the Breeders Cup & I'm always encouraged by the European trainers taking a stand point by running clean.

Aidan O'Brien ran all his horses on Lasix & some will say rightly so as he's got the winners on the board this weekend but surely running clean is the way forward?

If you have certain health problems, you take Statins, and other medicines for problems, Ramiprol, Warafin etc;
but you still wont beat Usain Bolt over any distance.
Report breadnbutter November 1, 2015 12:43 AM GMT
Hmmm ,not sure about that ,statins are a bad example ,but maybe if you tried some steroids ,enthropoietin ,testosterone ,ect ect and  combined it with the correct training you might be able to compete to some degree , you might not beat UB but you sure could rip the piss out of your mates Wink. Is any athlete really clean in this day and age ? Some of them seem a bit uptight about there bloodcounts being made public , due to ignorance and the chance they will be misunderstood by us idiots .
