Shocking effort , but par for the course as far as tactics go for the horse
Baker's ride on Chil The Kite in the 3.45 race beggars belief.
He never put the horse in the race at any stage and might as well have just remained in the stalls if it was always his intention to make as little effort as possible. I find it quite extraordinary the stewards didn't call him in to give an explanation of the ride.
I have always been a fan of Baker, but sometimes he makes one wonder if he is running the risk of becoming too one dimensional.
