It's all supposition, though, isn't it?  I have no idea if he was clueless and lost fortunes.  It's quite possible that he spent 10 years arbing and, consequently, lost a few hundred grand and paid a boatload of commission.  That he was always a good judge but didn't have the capital to withstand the losing runs until he'd built some up this way.  That he's spent 13 years on here observing the way that the markets move and that he now uses his £12k balance (or whatever it is) to trade price movements and nicks cash this way.

I'm not overly arsed to be honest, just find it mildly amusing that you (and a lot of others) get so worked up by the gloating.  He's obviously doing it to get bites and we're now up to about 650 replies.  Mission accomplished, I'd say.

Out of interest, and obviously feel free to tell me to mind my own business, did you make a living from punting prior to getting fast pics?  Or was it a recreational hobby for you and you realised that you could clean up by beating the standard pictures?

Gambled since was a teenager...then through 90's was a pro gambler at Brough Pk dogs..then when bf came along started doing the dogs on there till about 2004 when got the live feed at home...was only a few in the country had it at the time and was easy pickings...then when pictures were encrypted about 2007 had to go to trading shops/tracks...then realised with a big bank i could take the easy route without any studying...hence what i do now...its hard now as liquidity is poor last 3f.

I suppose the people that you take money from will be ever decreasing, so it can only get harder.  Assuming you're at least in your mid 40s, at least you're nicely set up even if it goes tits up overnight.  How was life as a pro at the dogs?  Did you enjoy it? 

FWIW, I don't particularly enjoy this as a job, but I enjoy the perks that come with it.

im in 50's..yes loved the dogs but took up all my time watching video's etc...nothings easy...i could pack it in tomorrow but i like doing it.

I could jack it in if I was prepared to move to somewhere that cost next to nowt to live in.  But they're invariably hovels, else everyone would be there.  As it is, I've got a good 45 years or so until retirement age, have been out of a job for 6 or 7 years and it could all be over with tomorrow, so I'd best try to make hay while the sun (mostly) shines.

this just becomes another ritual in life..
