THEY are trying to break you, Duncan.

You need to change your browser.
...or your ISP. ..................or move house. It's not their fault. |

THEY are getting bl00dy close to doing so, Ocean

thought they had fixed the problem.
Its back again. This page can’t be displayed •Make sure that the web address https://www.betfair.com is correct. •Look for the page with your search engine. •Refresh the page in a few minutes. Fix connection problems |

how are the oncourse bookies/commission agents coping?
they must be bricking it every day, esp if someone asks for £50 win on a 3/1 shot ![]() |

"Make sure that the web address https://www.betfair.com is correct."
That smacks of DNS issues somewhere. And that 'somewhere' is unlikely to be Betfair (if it were, pretty soon no-one would be able to find the Betfair website). So an ISP issue? |
By:
no, every other site works fine inc gambling ones, and after about 10 attempts the page loads up. sometimes it may take 10 mins or so to log in.
By:
I am still receiving the same message as maleuk01
I can log into betfair via the forum , and then have to click the horse racing tab about 10 times before I get through |

Once on problems don't go away. Everyone should check what market they are on as the market name might not be the market that is displayed. Somebody is going to get badly caught out. At least when colours and names disappear, you know you've got a problem.

me too - using chrome and virginmedia - every 15 mins or so an action will hang for over 20 secs then I'm locked out - usually just have to end chrome task wait 20 secs then open a new Bf session - usually still signed in. I know of others who are not having problems other than slow response so could be a combination of factors. Just dumped Firefox as someone said Bf only do testing on chrome but was having similar problems on Firefox
By:
from what I remember, I can log in fine on chrome ( virgin media user ) , but betfair live video stutters on chrome for me, so I prefer Internet Explorer which is smoother .
By:
Chrome being a pain for me. But any browser is. Just takes several times for the website to load. But once loaded I have no problems, though admittedly mostly use API.
By:
^ At one time - before CHROME was invented - Betfair told people to use Firefox, instead of Internet Explorer.
Seems to be an ongoing excuse. |
By:
Betfair told me to clear my cookies...
So I told them to clean their arses. |
By:
These sorts of connectivity issues never happened on the classic site.

@onlooker
"At one time - before CHROME was invented - Betfair told people to use Firefox, instead of Internet Explorer." Makes sense - IE always used to be a dreadful browser - MS came to the internet game late and then decoded to ignore the existing standards. As for shifting allegiance to Chrome - the new site is built on a Google technology (Angular JS) so makes sense to suggest using the Google browser to render it. Personally I find Chrome works well, but on my laptop - for reasons I'm not clear about, and I'm supposed to be technical - the text is fuzzier on Chrome so harder on the eye than FF. |
By:
Although I'm having no problems now on Firefox, you do have to wonder if Betfair have a clue what's going on here.
By:
is anyone else seeing this ? every market i load is being held up by.....connecting to r.turn.com ....takes too long and makes betfair unusable.
By:
r.turn. com may be malware and I would run the free version of malwarebytes to check this out.
https://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/sem/5/?sfc=sem-gs_nb_uk_en&gclid=CJfTqvDb4MgCFROeGwodUrQIGQ |
By:
its not malware ....its marketing data used by betfair to watch us. never been a problem before but now takes too long to connect and stops the page loading
By:
Well I'm not seeing it.
By:
i see it in chrome and firefox

And that 'somewhere' is unlikely to be Betfair (if it were, pretty soon no-one would be able to find the Betfair website). So an ISP issue? I changed from my default Virginmedia DNS server address to Googles DNS server 8.8.8.8, it didn't help any ![]() |

Total farce now.
By:
This connectivity issue has been effecting me the last few days! Its bearable if your backing or laying something outright, but us traders are destroyed by it. Betfair / Powers don't want traders!!
By:
Too much crap loading up with every page now.
Also, I can't get 'my account' to work without going in via the forum (old site). These ongoing problems have cost me money and taken far too much of my time. I thought it was my router and/or internet provider and spent ages on the phone, on hold and with techy people trying to rectify a problem which seems to be all at Betfair's end. Perhaps, Betfair, if you read this, you might consider trying harder to retain your existing customers than just to keep trying to get new ones. The gambling population is big, but it is finite. I am still brassed off about any lack of explanation about last Saturday's site (exchange) collapse and the taking down of the 'issues' thread within hours.... like it never happened!!! |
By:
I checked my DNS re my problem and it is fine except for accessing the bloody Australian site.
By:
I found nothing on Malwarebytes nor Superantispyware. defragging, Ccleaner and reinstalling did nothing either. Same problem after i re-installed Firefox and Globe. Anything i have forgotten anyone?
By:
My problem is being told that the server has closed the connection without any data. This is only when i try to go to the Australian site. There are endless solutions to this if you Google, but so far none have worked for me.

By:
It's a real sorry state of affairs with this once excellent product. You have to assume that betfair have little interest in the exchange nowadays and are just concentrating on pretending to be a bookmaker.
By:
logged in this morning and 'my markets' had all disappeared. Logged out and back in again, my markets back but missing the top couple of inches of the screen, so no balance showing and no option to log out. Absolute farce.
By:
just loaded an Aussie market then returned to the new site via 'my markets' Got the missing screen back but my markets gone again.
![]() |
By:
the markets just seem to hang for a number of seconds and then either load or throw you off...testing my patience
By:
It's odd that only some are having these problems at the moment though.
By:
Seems to be working alright here this morning. As far as the new site works anyway. I must have reset my router a few times last night while sleepwalking.
By:
I get only the timeform first 3 preditions with no market I then click on the place market
then the price screen appears ,then I click back to the win market and it appears..firefox.. |
By:
Just loaded Horse Racing https://www.betfair.com/exchange/horse-racing , it took 28 seconds from clicking the link to seeing the market loaded
![]() Iam on Virgin Media's cable broadband up-to 200Mb (used to be 152Mb) service. |
