It all comes down to the price in the end as 6/1 is to short and 14/1 was to big and it should probably be somewhere in the middle.

Either my cojones have shrunk or have not drunk so much tonight, but I retract. Will go bertie-b-b on Tropics instead.  He nearly nailed the best sprint of the year last time, and if following up to a similar standard as he did last year, fingers crossed, he should go very close indeed.

Sure someone far more studious than I will point out that top weights have a bad record in the race but Muthmir ran a cracker today and I doubt he will trade at 16s tomorrow looking at the sterlings queueing up...

Well, he didn't win, but wouldn't say it was a fail, even though he was favourite. Understand your doubts Cardiff, as his profile does shout in and out a bit, but last year he followed up a great run in the July Cup by winning, albeit after more of an interlude.

On more detailed inspection, it doesn't look like the strongest of renewals, and the only two that might be wolves in sheep's clothing for me are MM and Toofi, so I'll take my chance on a near Group 1 winner in a handicap.

Wouldn't say he ran badly cardifffc,  ran 6th of 27 from the wrong side of the draw, looks to have the same problem tomorrow and it irks me to desert him as he has been very good to me financially and in competitions over the years, Magical Memory looks to have the same problem to me unless the low numbers can somehow buck the system so far this week, in tomorrows race.

Backed Tropics lto at nearly 3 times the price. Think that race may have left its mark so not keen to reinvest, gl though.

Would be nice to be able to ask Dean Ivory if he would have preferred Robert Winston or even Pat Cosgrave to take the ride again tomorrow in preference to Adam Kirby, though he is 1/1 on the horse so has done nothing wrong.

agree.won well last time but the time of the race was not quick.there are plenty in this race have run the same newmarket 6 a lot quicker
