Does Steve Palmer's betting tales still appear in the Racing Post at all ? Not bought one in years because of all the price hikes but that was a comical read on Sundays.

Palmer must be a fearless pro punter, betting with a salary firmly behind him, imo...
By:
what salary is he on?
By:
Married with a kid now so he will have to tone it all down or she will no doubt fook off elsewhere
By:
xmoneyx - Racing Post, surely..??

wage

I often wondered what his salary must be as he bets in pretty large quantities at times.
I know tonight he says he lost £35k in a fortnight (i think that is correct?).......he has been very close to some massive wins aswell, Nearly hit a double in the golf once but the player layed up on a reachable par 5 and didn't make birdie.....Christ, i would have been suicidal.....and he very rarely lays off. |
By:
I can see why the Racing Post/bookmaking industry axis want to promote him as a 'professional punter', as he very clearly has a serious gambling problem...
By:
when it comes to betting, very cose isn't good enough

xmoneyx, aware you play at the golf, you will probably remember it.

By:

By:
I remember forum talk
did he just need to par to win tourney |
By:
tim clark won two pga events
2010 playerers by one stroke 18th is a par 4 2014 Canadian open by one stroke 2014 18th par 5 must be that |
By:
Well he ended up losing it by laying up if i remember rightly so it wasn't one of his wins....i think it was 2-3 years ago?
I'll have a look... |
By:
Agree millhouse. It looks like I am very much in the minority but plenty of people seem to find it funny winning and losing thousands on a whole range of different sports that he can't possibly have more than tiny knowledge of each one.
By:
in 2014 18th Canadian open par 4?
By:
Might have been this one, then again i could be miles out as it was 2011

Back to the opening post,Keith lives nowhere near Doncaster although he's still in Yorkshire. He lives in one of the most beautiful parts of the country which in a way is a clue as to his user name.As said earlier I also haven't seen him on here for ages.

Does anyone actually believe the Palmer stuff? Sunday is the only day I get the post but never read his column as I read the first paragraph once and considered it unbelievable drivel.
By:
sunday is the hail mary bet

By:
I am the same as you flanders, just on Sundays for me to have a read up with a glass of vino....i used to love his article at the back but it all seems a little poor nowadays.
