DISSOLUTION - 3.45 Newmarket

Re-investing on something that has cost you dear last time out is not always the wisest move, but I feel sure things just didn't work out for Dissolution at Ascot last time.

Sent off a very short 9/4 fav at Ascot ( due to Ryan Moore's scintillating  form that day ), he was never really in the race with a shout, largely due to the slow early pace, and when asked to make his effort turning for home, the gaps simply didn't appear. I'm inclined to forgive him that run, and instead concentrate on his previous 2 outings when firstly getting up close home here over 10f, and more eye-catching his fine 2nd place to Time Test in the London Cup at Newbury.

Ok, he was comfortably beaten in the end that day, but he was the only horse in the race to give Time Test anything like a race, and with a decent pace very likely here ( Resonant, Gibeon, Rotherwick all liking to be up there ), he should have the race run to suit.

The 11/2 simply looks too big, and Ryan Moore will be keen to erase the memory of Ascot.

Good Luck
