RACING at Wolverhampton has been delayed by 30 minutes following a nasty incident in the the first race during which the Connor Beasley-ridden Cumbrianna fell and hampered Bilash, who unseated Martin Dwyer.
Dwyer and Beasley were both reported to have been conscious following their falls. Dwyer went to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton by road, while Beasley was taken by air ambulance. Beasley's mount Cumbrianna suffered a fatal injury
The race was won by Red Cape, whose jockey James Sullivan said: "I just saw Connor Beasley's horse on the ground, but I didn't see what happened. I just hope Connor and everyone else are okay.
"I just switched out at the time and if I'd had stayed where I was I'd have probably come over the top of them."

rather than wolves racing at 3.10 and then we get ponte going straight after, why don't wolves (having missed the 2.55 race time) simply go back 2 slots and race at 3.25 to keep everything spaced out....we're now going to get 2 races within 5 minutes of one another and then 25minute break!!
