An 8yo fully exposed gaff track donkey hammered off the boards and allowed to set his own (slow fractions) while the others are pulling in behind in variously sh1t positions on the track. Comfortably the best horse finished second. No one could back that winner at 6-4 in a straight race. And yes, the second was ridden by a formerly banned jockey as well. THE SPORT IS GOING TO HELL IN A HANDCART AND THE BHA DESERVES NO BETTTER!

I wonder why it got the best ride - No connection with the wads of cash for it in a race where no other horse was seriously supported. Wake up and smell the coffee, mate. THEY are taking the Micheal and getting away with it because the stewards don't do their jobs and the BHA is pathetic.

i always wondered about these fixed races, do the ten owners, trainers and jockeys all get together the night before and discuss who is going to win, how its going to win and who will make the money.

They let the designated trier go slowly in front so the others do not settle and give it a headstart. Doesn't work every time but far too often to be a coincidence.

the is a difference imo in horses getting quiet rides to get their mark down, the OP has said the race was fixed. im really interested how in a ten runner race everyone plays ball.

Not every horse in the race would have a chance if ridden on merits as some of them genreally are useless/unfit etc. I can't believe people are looking at that race and thinking it was straight, I honestly can't.

i just dont see which horse you would be confident backing to beat it. most of the horses have not won on turf, they only multiple winner on turf raced yesterday. the horse with the most reliable form coming in to the race won. your banking on a improver to beat it. take a five pound claimer off and the horse loses in my opinion.

I backed the 5-1 shot that gave it a 15 length start and finished second. It looked an obvious improver to me and I would bet you any amount you care to name that it will end up rated higher than the winner. But I was betting on opinion and hope that my selection would be given a fair chnace. Serves me right for opposing the money in a filthy class 6 handicap.

The pace of the race is everything. For another example just watch the pace that Maloney sets on the surefire stayer in that last race at Worcester and ask yourself how he thought he was going to beat the highclass flat horse? Just coincidence that all the money was for the fav.
These guys are good, very good

I take the point. I am absolutely fed up of daily corruption and nothing being done about it however. If you try to inform the BHA of what is going you are met with a stone wall. People need to say something about this. The racing media will not do so, therefore it is left to punters to voice their opinions. Doesn't matter anyway, the game is terminally goosed and nothing will change. Arrested development, another interesting and accurate market at Worcester as you say.

barton bank give it up my son. your starting to get on my t!ts with all this business now...
Exactly , yet he still insists on putting his pocket money on class 6 races on Mondays and cries like a big baby when he loses , pathetic ........

That's not the point. I have voiced my concerns directly to the BHA in the past about integrity issues in races that I had not had a bet on. People are leaving the game in their droves because they believe the sport is corrupt and I for one do not blame them for doing so.

Rightly or wrongly I would be less suspicoious of a race where the winner has not been backed to the exclusion of all else. Impossible to know how hard he had to work to get that lead anyway as RUK missed the start of race so hard to comment on it.

Irish trained horse wins the race , has been running well in recent races , front running or being up there for much of those races in big fields and similar or better class races including last time over similar distances , connections knew he was in good form , has run well at this course before , instructions likely to be "try to make all" was punted , momentum punters join in , was arguably overbet , you and English connections dismissed it as many do with unknown overseas horses or treat as a dark horse and try to ignore it , you chose the best of the English horses whose jockeys let him have an easy lead as unlikely they done their homework like yourself on the overseas horse as it's just another dross race to them and class 6 race for you to bet in .

That's one way of looking at it. Another would be that connections of the rest of the field knew full well that it was likely to lead or race prominently yet chose to allow it an easy lead regardless. I find it hard to believe that a Sligo claimer, a 0-65 at Gowran and a 0-63 are Clonmel were vastly better than the Ayr race today. When you have an 8yo with a strike rate like that going off a heavily backed 11-8 chance and getting a very soft lead, I believe it to be suspicious. You don't, so we might as well agree to disagree.

how much do you think winning connections paid out to all the losing connections ? As said they all had there own orders to follow and the best orders won , as for 0-63 , 0-65 I didn't say they were vastly better , but ratings like that especially comparing English/irish ratings at bottom grade is part boll0cks imo , the Ayr race was 0-60 with a decent claimer on board , so much of a muchness .

I would be more interested in who is the Greengrocer who provides this particular Irish trainer with his carrots - whenever his horses travel over to Scotland.
3 well-backed Winners and a fast-finishing 2nd, from 4 runners at Ayr, in the past two days.
His equally easy well-backed winner of the second race today wants looking at every bit as much as ... having the balls to have your absolutes on an 8-year-old 51-rated horse, who had won just once previously in 48 outings.

It's a fair point and similar question could and should be asked about Gordon Elliott's runners at Perth, many of whom win on the back of seemingly terrible performances in similar grade at gaffs like Tramore and Downpatrick.

With regard to your last point BB, I would like to know how bad is Robin Dickin ex-trainer of The Absent Mare (given away for 4K), or how bad is Willie Musson ex-trainer of Broughtons Bandit (given away for 2K). Elliot won with both of them quite easily at Perth, so why couldn't the other two get a single jumps race out of them?

Of course they knew -- he'd tried to make all in his two previous races in Ireland. He'd been beaten, though, which suggests no need to panic. But in any case, what was their alternative? Not collectively but for any single jockey, how do you take on the leader without cutting your own throat? Surely it would be more evidence of a fixed race if one of the jockeys in behind sacrificed his own chance in order to set it up for one of the other horses at the back?
So what are we left with? Favourite beat second favourite in a race that pretty much followed the form book: unleash the hounds!
