Needs to take up the fight for uniformity on Rule 4 deductions

This disgrace of applying the deduction at the price at the time of withdrawal is open to massive abuse by the bookmakers

eg Clever Cookie -Saturday- Paddy Power allegedly cutting it from 6/1 to 11/2 when it was made known to be a non runner, and all other bookmakers slashing its price when every man woman and child knew it was not going to run to gain a larger deduction

And it was tipped by Pricewise of course

The massive abuse of rule 4 has always been racecourse bookmakers cutting the price on horses playing up or running loose. It is hard to get excited about Clever Cookie, though I suppose now everything is computerised, it is at least now possible to know the price of every horse at the time any other horse was backed.

Makes Clarkson look like a virginal angel.
