If the following anonymous petition gets more than 3,000 signatures (it currently has just over 2,800) then the UK Gambling Commision will look at into the practive of Bookmakers restricting accounts:

I don't think 'Dumb and Dumber' have done their homework here. Lobbying the Chairman of an association funded by bookmakers to instigate an investigation against its own members . What next a petition to the ACS to limit shops on how many cigarettes they can sell to an individual?
Anyone who has signed this petition has wasted their time, you only have to look the tw4tter account above to know that D&D are not the people to fight this battle on the behalf of the signatories - a year and 3000 signatures wasted; signatures that are probably now unavailable to anyone who decided to launch an intelligent campaign against bookmaker practices.
Some people would say that doing something is better than doing nothing, not in this case alas!
