I think the old adage about getting away with fast ground once but not twice when it needs a bit of cut came to mind with Forgotten Rules. Weld obviously thought it was a nice prize there for the taking so took a chance.

Ryan is a good jockey and miles better than his British opponents, in Ireland i think he meets a better standard, so his strength wont always win.
Also the Irish wont give him an inch like they would in the uk. For him having a few stinkers at Ascot was about the law of averages, being on so many good horses this will be highlighted more than most, especially if you knocking in winners all week. |

am sorry but for me he is the best ,and has been for some time ,some of the comments on this tread i find very funny ,he was kept in ,it's not a car he's driven plus he nearly beat the filly with the stick to try and win ,and he was a head a stride pass the line .This comes with been the coolmore number 1 ,people think just cause the bookies make everything fav he should win .That's just my opinion and as o brien said before .....sure we loose more than we win ,were used to getting beat
