Who knows whether the horse would have settled better with a different ride but his determination to sit last clearly can not have helped matters there.

He seems to lack any kind of motivation and is just going through the motions. Of course he'll win races before he retires but he looks pretty awful most rides I'm afraid.

Librisa Breeze ride was not good, not good at all.

Hughes should have retired a couple of years back, doing himself no favours hanging on when well past his best.

Still as long as he is earning a few extra coppers educating people in his Racing Post column who cares if he seemingly just going through the motions?

Moore royal Ascot brilliant, rides a couple of losers gone at the game, R Hughes 6/4 to win champion jockey, rides a loser, useless not trying, armchair jockeys stop talking through your pocket if it ain't your pocket just give up its embarrassing
