wd, winners - no bet but the head on camera was a sight to behold with Buick sitting quietly as they turned for home with the six behind him rowing away frantically.

I didn't know that!
After checking the results, it seems the Oaks was extended by 10 yards last year when Taghrooda won it - WHY?

The Oaks is slightly longer because rails are moved out to protect a strip of ground for the Derby.

Thanks Ramruma - wouldn't you think they'd just move the stalls ten yards on to compensate for that?
