Runner-up in this race 2 years ago off an 8lb higher mark on his sole course start; it's been a while since his last success but definite signs this season, particularly in 2 runs at Goodwood, that he still has something to offer.

Currently trading around 17.5 and generally a 16-1 shot.

Stroll Patrol, 4.10 Curragh, 1pt EW

Yard has done particularly well with recruits from other stables, and although this one was disappointing on her first fun for Johnny Murtagh, easy enough to put that down to the heavy ground; been given time since and interesting to see what improvement, if any, her new trainer can get out of her.

Currently trading at 18.5 and 16-1 in places

Dark Castle, 8.15 Don, 1pt EW

His stable's fine form this season has yet to rub off on him, but he did shape a little better on his latest start from a poor draw at Thirsk; now 12lb below his last winning mark and a return to form wouldn't surprise.

MC Diamond, 9.15 Don, 1pt EW

Caught the eye late-headway monkey style on his penultimate start at Chester in a race he had no chance in on the figures; offered little in a handicap on his next start and perhaps some cut in the ground is what he needs, but will take another look at a price.

Currently trading around 90 and generally a 50-1 poke.
