6 decent meetings today, plus the Curragh, and they're spending half the show narking on about Ascot! They really do not do themselves any favours do they?
P.S. Memo to CH4 Racing......we all know that dreadful Plunkett woman was in the royal procession (and we don't give a toss!) so you don't have to keep mentioning it thank you.

GC bet Gill £100 that another ARC course would close before 2020 which was accepted. The irony of it all is that Gill will probably not be working for the outfit in 2020, as per Michael Howard, Kate Hills and Tony Kelly who have all "moved on".

Yes Delta, she maintained that the hurdle course would be unusable in the winter if the Plate was run on it - hence the Plate going AW. They are certainly full of tricks these Reuben brothers!

simple solution...you run another 2 or 3 jumps fixtures on the turf track until the end of may, then you only have to maintain and water (if necessary) the hurdle course for a month before the plate meeting
then when the plate meeting has ended, you leave mother nature to look after the turf track until october
I also think that the plate meeting would have massive novelty value if it was the only flat turf meeting run at newcastle in the year
