In Ireland they guarantee prices on multiples from 12-1 and 5-6pm everyday, is this the same for shops in the UK also?

Yes but they are shtye to start off with and dont win to much or it does not apply.
At Royal Ascot prices were cut a couple of minutes before the happy hour started...
think max is 1k before prices revert back to the ones you took thieves all of them
