I have only ever met one funny women in 45 years and she was not a comedian.   Caroline Aherne comedic writing the best of a bad lot I suppose

just watching 8 out of 10 cats does countdown and thought if sarah millican and Katherine ryan were men they wouldn't get near a tv show, but they have quotas now don't they, caroline aherne ant bad but jo brand is not someone I find funny at all, don't get me wrong plenty of unfunny men on tv, but women just seem to get the gig because they are women

I thought American comedienne Amy Schumer was very witty on Graham Norton's show the other week. The exception to the rule, for sure.
