Just a fine/ban. Stephen Mulqueen won on one at Market Rasen in one of these and hit his horse rounding the final bend, and got fined, I think, but no way can you DQ the horse according to the rules.

The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Paddy Pilley, the rider of BRIDIE FFRENCH, placed sixth, had used his whip on seven occasions, from approximately two and a half furlongs out. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Rule (B)54.2 and guilty of improper riding in that he had used his whip contrary to the Conditions of the Race. They suspended him for 7 days as follows: Thursday 9 to Wednesday 15 July 2015 inclusive.
