Ben Linfoot's Value Bet column wrapped up a magnificent Royal Ascot with Wokingham Handicap winner Interception
The David Lanigan-trained winner was given a masterful ride by George Baker to land the spoils at 10/1 but Ben alerted everyone to his chance at a whopping 28/1 on Friday night.
The victory added to Muhaarar and Curvy earlier in the week as the column generated profits of 46.25pts with four winning days out of five from some of the most competitive racing anywhere on the globe.
The word on the street is that Ben will soon be drafted in to be the new Pricewise !
Tom has been incredibly close this Royal Ascot to some big priced winners plus one 20/1 winner. But on the whole for the past couple of years he has seemed not the force he once was in terms of tipping , it's seems a bit more than a coincidence that his demise has come in line with his ever growing TV appearances .
Maybe Tom has lost interest in his pricewise column and sees his future in television , if so the RP need to call in the cavalry in the shape of Ben linfoot.

There was a day when he kept hitting 2nds and places with some big priced selections. He usually recommends going win only, but if you took them each way you would have had an even bigger profit.

Why would you have made a bigger profit? . If you're backing each way you have to decide whether that means halving your normal bet stake, or doubling it.if halving it, the win return is significantly reduced. If doubling it, twice the loss when unplaced. Greater profits are made if level stake win bet only, is deployed.

I meant for his Ascot selections, particularly the day he put up the Grey Gatsby and two in the royal hunt cup where most firm where going 5 places.
Yes greater profits are to be made at level stakes, but where I feel there is value in the places then I'd take them too
Regardless I would not follow a tipster blindly. Whilst Ben is an excellent tipster he does also have his short comings. I don't rate him at all over the jumps.(Although I'm kicking myself for not following him in with Muhaarar and instead siding with Limato in the commonwealth)
What I was getting at is he had a great Ascot and it could have been even better as he had a few more going very close. For anyone who did follow him blindly and went each way with his selections then they would have an even bigger profit to show for Ascot.

It is a bit uncanny he picked the same horse as me and found out only tonight from his twitter page he's from Leeds as well...Its not the first time I have picked a horse that is picked by a tipster done it with pricewise and HT...If you watch every video of every race of every runner its not hard to reach the same conclusion..The difference is however I just pick one selection in a race.

Cuts nose off, spites face.
If your view didn't agree - then you wouldn't back their selection. Simple. Always back your own judgement, otherwise you shouldn't be in the game..
