He wasnt unlucky, you put up Atzeni by choice and then luck doesnt come into it.
Knobb jockey tahts it in a nutshell.

He got stopped at a vital stage. What baffles me is why, time and again, jockeys hold horses up in these races when they are going a crawl so the front runners stay there & nothing from behind can close fast enough. You see so many fast fnishing 'unlucky' losers on this track. A shame more jockeys don't have the balls or know-how to lead from the front the way Cauthen used to.

I'm talking specifically about horses in these 10f & 12f races at Ascot of course.
