what's it like going straight? tia
By:
sha tin aint round all the way round
By:
class will prevail course is np.
By:
How do equate the form?
By:
in most of it's Sha Tin runs has broke well, then dropped off the pace and then kicked off the bend, will probably trade bigger i/r imo. Moreira will have to time it right because I'm expecting Solow to go for home first.
By:
I agree, dont think he wants to get in a battle with solow from a long way out. Hopefully he'll swoop past late as i'd like to see him win.
By:
You have the best jockey in the world on Able friend cant belive trading 3.8 should be 2-1 his wins have been dominant Hong Kong and 1600 is his specialty load up !!!
By:
No doubt that Solow and Able Friend are top class in their own countries but for every horse that reproduces that ability half way round the world, there is another that does not so I am hoping that Night of Thunder, who has won two straight mile Group 1 races, can do so again.
By:
Is able friend cross eyed too
By:
Wont need to see cause has best jockey on him to steer load up

If it loses???????

I don't recall the chinese sending over many animals to England . The one's they send to France do ok in general.
By:
I think there's enough ponderable's to take it on....Moreria has only ridden at the track in last years Shergar Cup, Able Friend has never been out of Hong Kong or raced on a track with undulations (staying at Bell's won't have told anything there as that's flat), it's straight unlike Sha Tin, and the trainer has never trained an Ascot winner
...cue Able Friend dotting in on the snaff ![]() ![]() |

Previs used to ply its trade over that neck of the woods but when sent back to contest the Group One Prince of Wales 9th of 12.
This will have to improve again on its Hong Kong form to place let alone win. Good race though and looking forward to a 4 horse war in the final furlong. ![]() |

How can you bet a nag that's just stepped off an aeroplane? For all we know, it might be pished on contraband whisky, been in a brawl with other passengers, had two stewards drag him away, spent the night in jail, had his anus probed for cocaine wraps.... It's happened before. It will happen again.

Hey Sonko
Only thing against him is the record of 5yo in this race. On that basis I would save on the Hannon 2. Fav should be 4/1 imo. GL! |
