Clearly making sure that fav wasn't going to win!

Looked strange, made a mistake, dropped it right back before sorted his irons out, then...

Certainly looked that way.

Looked to me like the other horse ran across him and spooked his mount, causing it do duck out to the left so as not to run into the back of the other one jumping across it.

Seems a bit unlikely that the jockey would jump one fence without any stirrups and then make so much effort to get his feet back in again, only to then jump off at the very next fence once he finally did so.

jumping off died after old foxy did gave it a go a few years back.  think other jocks looked at that and thought "nah .... far too obvious"

He was  actually coming off a stride before the fence.
