tried to chase the pace..didnt settle, didnt act on the course.  would have preferred softer ground.
and when all chance gone was left alone.
all in all , not a great day at the office. Such is racing
St Leger might suit better and be a worthwhile price.

As far as i can see the way the horse ran in the race justified I Balding seniors remark to the owner last year that he thought the horse would not act on the course had it been up to the trainer i don't think it would have run at epsom .

Jockey gave probably the worst ride in a derby since Dancing Brave - which didn't help matters.......

nothing to do with not handling the course...got sucked into going too quick and is almost certainly a stone inferior to the winner anyway

think they got sucked into media that golden horn was a doubtful stayer, and tried to expose him, cant believe these tatics had anything to do with trainer or jockey.
