Tailed Off - last time.

Last win was over TWO MILES.

Now - Bolts in over a Mile and a Half.

He is a total torment to the game  -

- and that is the politest way that I can put it. Cry

Come on you know the trigger for the !untouchables! stable  /  runners is 100  lengths and nothing under

I find War and Peace quicker to read and summarise than a Johnston runner

Obviously not its running in a better race last time, it didn't need to have got beaten 97 lengths just to get a reduction. Got beat 3 lengths off of 102 in a 12k h/cap two runs ago. Run off 95 today and was only 6/1.

I certainly wouldn't have laid it.

We are NOT talking about, "laying it."

- and we are well aware of what they have done in the past. - BUT ...

The 'pressing of the accelerator' is invariably the great unknown.

If Johnston knows how his yoyo strategy is working, he really ought to be called in by the BHA to explain it, because it just continually brings racing into disrepute if it is indeed intended.

If he doesn't how know it is working, I don't really understand how he has any owners as they have absolutely no idea when to expect a decent run.

It wouldn't be so galling if the horse went off 25-1 as it should have. Was definitely quite well backed.

Most of the critics on this thread seem to be missing the fact that she was dropping in class. Take that on board and her win is no longer inexplicable.

Always trying = horses are not machines. He is an owners trainer doesnt let them stand in their stalls half the season.

Never gets any criticism from the media and even on here it appears the hindsight merchants are out in force. Worrying times.

He trains over 200 winners every season his horses are not run for the punters benefit but for the owners...prize money on the whole is his objective and that is why he uses multiple runners in events with good prize money.
If you cant figure it out then leave it severely alone and stop moaning.

You are missing the point.

I/we are NOT looking to back any of them  - as -
You couldn't, sensibly, back any of his with counterfeit money - as they say.

But, whenever you back something ELSE in a race - and Johnston has one, or two, of his 'inexplicables' running in the race - you cannot quantify with any degree of rationale quite what his beasts may do - or not do - today.

As I stated in my opening post ...

He is a total torment to the game  -

- and that is the politest way that I can put it. Cry

YOU are totally missing the point.....if you cannot figure out the Johnston runners then "LEAVE THE RACE ALONE" their are plenty of races to bet on in any season.
If you cannot find your way round that situation then give the game up for your peace of mind......and ours.

It is a free world but I would have thought this is primarily a punters forum so I do wonder about the actual identity of those who come on here and attempt to 'defend' racing 'insiders' (sometimes with quite an arrogant tone) when a punter is simply making what may seem to many to be a reasonable point. Onlooker isn't exactly alone in not being able to pick Johnston is he? Probably several thousands in that particular queue, in fact you would probably have to be an 'insider' to be able to pick him. That is unless you believe Johnston is just a high-end dart thrower in which case nobody has much chance.

the fact of the matter is when you can back one of his on bare form shown
nearly impossible to gauge what one of is going to do
as a punter thats what gets so many frustrated with this trainer
i am more of a layer of his shorter price ones
the horses at double figures are ones to have a good look at
have no time for this guy whatsoever

find this post ridiculous
you are entitled to have an opinion on a trainer who you think is not playing by the rules
as a punter your entitled to this......
shame the bha are absolutely clueless....lots of trainers laughing at them

You are ridiculous, you have taken one post in isolation and rushed into print, and as a punter if you have not discovered by this time that as a punter you are entitled to NOTHING, then I suggest you take your Forum name seriously and get REWIRED.
I am a punter and experience has taught me "DONT MOAN" "TAKE ACTION".Complaining about the BHA just gives you a headache.

^ Finished Last.

River Thames, out of a winning (US 1m) sister to the Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry and to the dam of Shamardal, is from the yard that won this three times between 2008 and 2011 and he was very well backed earlier in the day. Always handy, he looked sure to figure when edging to the front over 2f from home, but lost the advantage a furlong later and dropped right out. He has a bit to prove now

That seems a very considered opinion in the Forum tradition. There is absolutely no point in trying to reason with that rant.I hope when Johnstons lawyers knock his door he is wearing the requisite Brown trousers with cycle clips I would hate for him to sh*t all over his floor.
