Hughes is getting out at the right time imo,he saw the writing on the wall last year as most of Hannon's best horses are now bought by the arabs who use their own jocks and it must have been frustrating getting jocked off when the arabs move in,it will be the same for whoever takes over so doubt Hannon will have one big stable jockey again. Re the championship and him going to Lingfield surely its just a case of better rides enhancing his chances of another championship.
