I use Quealyn (only a poor ride because of G.N.G's peculiarities) purely as an a example of a theme. Punters get to know certain horses well and how they need to be ridden. I don't expect jockeys to know ALL horses but surely trainers impart necessary information so as to give the jockey/horse best chance to win. I am left bewildered many times by the way such horses, that need to be ridden in a particular way, are ridden. I take into account all imponderables that may take place in-race but some rides are incomprehensible if the intention is to win.
