Race 3 - 3:10pm THE INVESTEC CORONATION CUP (CLASS 1) (Group 1)
The Stewards considered the apparent improvement in form of the winner, PETHER’S MOON (IRE), trained by Richard Hannon, compared with its previous run at Newmarket on 2 May 2015 where the horse finished third of four, beaten by 18 lengths. They noted the trainer’s explanation that the horse had been better suited by the track. They ordered PETHER’S MOON (IRE) to be routine tested.

The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Pat Dobbs, the rider of the winner, PETHER’S MOON (IRE), in the last 1½ furlongs. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he used his whip above the permitted level. The Stewards suspended Dobbs for 2 days as follows: Sunday 21 and Monday 22 June 2015.

Report Money Tree cost me thousands!! June 6, 2015 10:44 PM BST
So the winning jockey broke the rules and the horse benefits.
The jockey in section stuck to the rules and connections are penalised. Financially.

Just got back from a day out and watched the racing so fantastic aftertiming but got this at 25's which has paid for the day and I thought it a good ride myself! But feck me Atzini should be shot for his ride on Elm park - ok, he wouldn't have beaten the winner but it would have been nice to not know your fate 10 secs after the stalls opened!
Report hello :-) June 6, 2015 11:22 PM BST

did anyone else think that Flintshire was impeded?
Report CLYDEBANK29 June 7, 2015 9:37 AM BST
You feel sick acey.  I had the first 5 up in the placepot including Pethers and 6.5k net worth of tickets running on the last race and blew out
Report CLYDEBANK29 June 7, 2015 9:38 AM BST
and I had Buthelezi in the last who was fifth caught in the last 10 yards
Report shergar007 June 7, 2015 9:47 AM BST
Same here - 5/6 in the placepot. The fact that it was a 4 runner race made it that more difficult as you had to take an opinion on the front two (and the competitive handicaps made perming all 4 with too many lines)
Report mange June 7, 2015 10:07 AM BST
I bet the winner...........1 of my 2 E.W.suggestions for Marychain............as posted..........pity the other 1 never copped

Unlucky clydebank that must have bee a real sickener.
Report taffy June 7, 2015 10:57 AM BST
The Hannons have messed this horse up.
If he was with a top trainer he would have won a number of Group Ones.
He was always a top class horse on looks and hopefully will succeed again.

Pethers Moon obviously handles undulations very well. He excels at Goodwood
Only had 6lb to find
Shock horror he wins at 11/1
Report cardifffc June 7, 2015 11:38 AM BST
ag........normally travels well so a slow run race suited him
Report robbie fowler is god June 7, 2015 11:43 AM BST
fast ground is like heavy certain horses are miles better on it
Report Angel Gabrial June 7, 2015 12:58 PM BST
He has run on fast ground many times, he handles undulations better than most.
Report hulk23 June 7, 2015 1:05 PM BST
more than happy to lay anything ridden by a french based jock coming over here, they're worse than the birds - roll on Ascot ...
Report carrot1960 June 7, 2015 1:14 PM BST
