You've got to laugh at those on here saying when he first came back and was scratching around for rides at the gaff tracks that he was gone at the game and over the hill.
Have I mentioned before it's more about the horses than the jockeys and if you don't get on the better ones you tend not to win the better races? And what's that saying again about form and class? William Buick must be feeling sick too. |

TBF, anyone would have won on that.
By:
anyone who rode the same race would have won but how ever you think a horse will find a finishing burst, it takes courage to sit that far back.

So pleased for him and Mr Gosden, Great horse as well!

To put the importance of the race in perspective, Gosden won more prize money for first and second there than all of his other wins and places this year. Now very short odds to be champion trainer.

TBF, anyone would have won on that. Which kind of proves that it's more about the horses than the jockeys. I've never really liked him as he's far too cocky and conceited but it would be churlish to not give credit where it's due, when he was and still is a top class jockey who once again has landed on his feet when a decent job offer came along and when Buick took the Godolphin job. |

C4; "Frankie has come though adversity, personal problems etc".
Why can't they just say he's a proven coke head with 15 years between each incident,PC gone mad. |
By:
agree with Try My Best, did n't back the winner but really enjoyed the race as a spectacle and thought Golden Horn was absolutely sensational.

that Nottingham maiden last October worked out well...
By:
15 minutes more like
think the patrician Oppenheimer was somewhat discombobulated by his 'effervescence' in the winners enclosure |
By:
Frankie lifting the sport and Golden Horn very good but how bad were the rest a very poor year in my opinion.
By:
Interesting that the moderate maiden, Carbon Dating, beat quite a few home and was not beaten that far by the third.
By:
most derbys latterly are not deep in quality but THAT is a damn good horse
By:
and Nashwan beat a 500/1 shot in the Derby. Does that make him over-rated?

By:
First 2 are probably of a good standard but the rest were not up to much. However, the winner is by Cape Cross like Sea The Stars was and he may also remain unbeaten.

fantastic ride by frankie
By:
Ima, the thread is about Frankie not you or what you said umpteen months ago. Take a day off from the attention seeking.
Well Done Frankie! |
By:
Of course it is jamesdean, just as it was about Frankie when plenty were saying those umpteen months ago that he was gone at the game because he was riding poor horses.
Maybe your aim should be at those er, attention seekers who can't wait to jump on here and start a thread to slate jockeys as soon as they get beaten on one, purely because they don't seem to get that if the horse isn't good enough and they are riding a poor one, then it's probably not going to win and make that jockey look a world beater. Just a thought eh? |

Class A performance from wide eyed Fankie.
By:
clever angel ,but i think it's good for the sport ,and i loved the way frankie acted ,it show's how much it meant to him .I agree he must of taught he would never win another and he all so said he hadn't had a ride in the race in four years .From back page to front page new's takes to frankie
By:
i think boycie want to marry him
get a grip....... |
By:
was a top class horse he was riding
prefer moore myself |
By:
Much prefer Frankie ,just for the public profile.Moore in the same situation would probably mourn not winning the Oaks as well,
brilliant jockey though he is ,he really does little to elevate the sport from the racing pages. |
By:
Moore in the same situation would have focused on the performance/talent of the horse during the interview.
Frankie basically performed fallacio to himself and the camera. Fair play if you can get yourself into tat position ![]() Any way, this horse has a Sea the Stars about him. No 2000G but lets see him meet that lot in the Eclipse. |
