The info I've posted comes from the stats page "overweight alert".

He rode a winner at Maisons Lafitte on Wednesday this week (Ashlan), set to carry 56kgs, which is about half a pound over 8-11, but put up a kilo overweight.

Apologies, that should read 'half a kilo'. Or in English, just under 8st 13lbs.

According to the RP, he rode at 8-11 yesterday, in the Listed Prix Melisande, at Compiegne.

Looking at it, unless he put up overweight in Dubai which for some reason wasn't declared he must have ridden at 8-8 there!

The RP paper stat says he hasn't ridden under 9-0 in the UK and Ire in the last 12 months, which is true, but not very relevant in his case.

The Signposts are useful, I think, but it's an odd way to compile a stat - to consider only rides in the UK and Ire, but to look more widely for him having put up overweight, which is what they've done. It's inherently inconsistent.

I just prefer Flintshire at the weights.

Can't see that Soumillon did anything wrong apart from maybe going a bit quick from 4 out. Dolniya just died in the last 100 yards as the Oaks fav did yesterday.
