I must admit I've no idea how the jockeys stand at the moment in the race for the championship. I'd certainly like to see him do it but I wonder if he can get enough rides to be a serious contender?
Moore 26, Buick 24, SDS 23, Hughes, Cosgrave 22. Hanagan 20, Mcdonald 19. Very early days but nobody is getting away.
He certainly has a chance looking at those numbers. I'd guess he's rode less races than the others in the list?
A few less than the ones ahead of him but now he is free from the Godolphin contract he can ride for whoever he likes and Mark Johnson seems to be using him a lot. He is also the lightest weight of the top 20 riders.
He has a good book of rides tomorrow on what is a competitive card at Musselburgh.
It's interesting that Hanagan's gone to Doncaster, his retained owner has runners at Epsom and two at Doncaster. I'm hoping the reason he's gone to Doncaster is for Abbey Angel (Fahey's), but, the Maktoum horse in the last could benefit from the drop in trip.
