Its a pure khazi, nobody would run any kind of racehorse there bar they were forced to at this meeting.

Plenty have contested the Coronation Stakes. If it was such an awful track, why do many Oaks and Derby winners go on to win the King George, Irish Derby, Arc de Triomph?

Well you'd have to go all the way back to 2013 to Talent, I suppose.
The ones that are no good run in the Coronation Stakes, like Talent for example.

because they are class horses..not because they won the derby at epsom
shows they are able to handle a track with such a pronounced camber & because they are athletic enough manage to win DESPITE the track
yeah..it's unique but i agree with OP
can't do a horse much good to run repeatedly there
yeah i know lesser horses have plenty of C&D form
but i would be of the persuasion that that is more so because so many others CAN'T handle it

Epsom is a dreadful racetrack. I'd rather the Oaks/Derby run at Newbury. A much fairer track. Can't stand the camber, the way it unbalances horses, the way horses are richocheting into each other down the straight, the way horses are forced wide from a high draw, the way they often go a dawdle and stack them up behind leading to bad luck in running… from that pov it's a rubbish track. 'The ultimate test of the Thoroughbred' is a nonsense imho.

Windsor is a fair track and you can arrive by boat.
I'm thankful for Epsom, Lingfield, Brighton, Goodwood, Salisbury, Chester and all the interesting racecourses.

Give me Epsom every day rather than Newmarket, which has nothing to recommend it.
I'm entitled to dislike Epsom as a racetrack. It's not whining, it's expressing an opinion.
No way would I pay any attention to an idiot who thinks the Coronation stakes is run at Epsom .
One of the Great racetracks in the world,pay no attenion to that gobshyte Mincer. Those who knock it should get up off their arses and walk it.The truest test of a horse anywhere .

If you're a serious investor in Flat racing betting markets, Epsom is a track to avoid almost as much as Chester imho. Bookmakers must love it.
chester's ok..glorified dog track but at least it doesnae have quasi dangerous cambers that are no good for joints
Been run at Epsom since 1780 - part of our national heritage, not that dimwits such as the OP would care much about that

It allows us on the day to find out who are establishment arse lickers. Anyone coming out with the statement "It is a true test of the racehorse" or "This is what makes British horse racing so great" is clearly on Espom hospitality directly or indirectly
I can assure you I ain't mate,have you ever even been to the place ?.You sound just like those Yankee golfers when they come to a links course and complain about the rough .
