So in Surrey on Saturday we have arguably the biggest flat race in the Calendar, the Derby.

Do we really need a mixed Flat/AWT card at another Surrey venue in nearby Lingfield that evening? Can only be sheer greed that this card is on.

Also, Hexham and Newcastle racing on the same day? I appreciate different codes but do they really need to race on the same day?

Just the latest examples of the greedy racecourses leading the sport round by the nose.

Obviously there are another 3 meetings on as well to make a total of 7 for the day. Who'd have thought the sport was doing so well to support so many meetings.

This follows the first week in June where we have had about 5 AWT cards as well.

The Sport and it's administrator's are a joke.
