In Sardinia you drive for miles off the beaten track, and when you finally get to that beautiful stretch of golden sand 10,000 Ities have already beaten you to it.
![]() In that part of the world Corsica takes a lot of beating. No package groups there. |

Anyone been to Bali? I'm booking flights to Auckland for September and would like a stopover for a few days. I've been to Singapore and didn't like it, the humidity was beyond ridiculous. Any suggestions welcome tia.

Not Hawaii either, Honolulu is a ghastly place.
|
|
By:
bali is interesting island slippy upmarket accomadation go to nusa dua nice private beach no sellers or beggers.
go to ulu watu if you like to do a bit of surfing plenty of day trips out. give Kuta a miss its a dump.good luck if you go ubud a nice village to visit. |
|
By:
bali is not a good destination for beaches
some of the island's interior is nice though. if you want something special / natural, forget about Europe / North America and most of Asia. I know the hate will flow, but it's obvious hardly anyone here has ever been to anything other than a tourist trap beach if you're going to spend a few grand and want something non-touristy, go the extra mile |

one of the less famous spots in Thailand might suit you
|
|
By:
Re Bali - its a long way to go for a beach - Nusa Dua beaches are ok but not amazing. Kutta is full of ozzie surfers and waves are rough. Thailand Beaches are better - Ko Tao - beaches are exceptional and the beaches along the Queensland Coast and some of the Islands in the Whitsundays are amazing.
