Put this one up last time and has to go close again today. Will be better suited by  the return to 1m6f for sure. Hanagan rode him to get the trip last time.......which backfired.
Fanning will have him closer to the pace today, which will see the horse run a huge race. He will NOT be out of the frame make no mistake about that. Choice of bets take the 9/2 as an ew bet or lump on at around 1.72 as a place wager.....easy £72 to £100 imo.
HURRY HOME POPPA 2.45 NOTTS.

Most impressed with his horse last time and is brought out quickly to take advantage of a great handicap mark. Has a feather weight to carry today. Looks a steal at even money as I rate this one a 1/2 shot. Rivals seem thin on the ground so barring accidents looks nailed on to collect.
MUSTADRIK 4.20 KILB........GL if you play.

I don't see the point of putting up an EW bet in a 16 runner handicap, followed by the Elliott 'good thing' at Kilbeggan that all the world and his brother will be aware of. If the EW goes down, you're relying on the next one just to recover losses. Just back the latter and have a winning day.

agree MUSTADRIK ( 10/11 ) must have a good chance if in the same form as its last run. only slight worry would be the extra 4 furlongs ? although was said to

be staying on strongly lto so should be ok. Happy

Oh, and if they've had enough rain up there I'd suggest SONG LIGHT is a much more tasty bet.

Maybe Paul spotted that GE has another well handicapped horse (Eshtiaal) that won again last night to make it 3 wins in a row (and 2 in 2 days). I don't think Mustadrik is as good at the moment, but considering the 'talents' of GE, who knows. Wink

I would back it at evens, but no way at 1/2

Your description of Hurry Home Poppa's last race is rubbish. The horse did nothing wrong at all, he was simply beaten by a progressive horse who was unexposed at the trip. He was not held up, he simply moved across from a wide draw in his own time, and found himself at the back of the field as they went a good pace. Hanagan's hands were motionless on the horse's neck - he wasn't holding him back, he was letting the horse go at his own pace, and he came past the field nicely in the straight at his own pace and beat everything else well, apart from the winner, who he wouldn't have beaten no matter how he'd have been ridden as that horse was far too good for everything on the day. Watch the race from the outset. Having said that, he certainly is odds-on for a place as he has to be about the most consistent horse in training - but he does have a bad draw again - even worse than last time.

I've dabbled on the 28-1 for Bluesea Beauty against the Elliott hotpot.
Lightly races improver like the fav was last time and this step up to 3m could see improvement but would need to.
