Not for the first time. Horse always travelling well but managed to get himself hampered by a couple of runners allowing the winner first run. Should have finished a good deal closer.

Very strange mover in the market, seemingly backed all day from 9/1-5/1 and then shunted out to 11/1.

What did you expect from a horse - making it debut - with this pedigree?

£20,000 3yo 5th foal; brother to point/2m7f chase winner Big Jer

Pole position in the Monaco Grand Prix?

Yes if he had his wits about him it would only have been beaten 5 lengths.

Onlooker, are you replying to a different post?

What's the pedigree got to do with a jock giving a horse a decent ride? Unless of course you are suggesting he gave it an even worse ride in that he was riding a horse with a stamina influenced pedigree for a change of pace? Yes, it was a debut run but the horse was ready enough showing little signs of immaturity. I didn't suggest the horse should have won but the jock clearly got into a mess running up the back of other horses then swinging very wide and basically giving the horse no chance of winning.
