His stable housed the horses involved in the Strangles incident - a few weeks ago.

Others obviously not caught it - as they would now be nowhere near a racecourse.
But - perhaps the place has been cleansed and disinfected, from top to bottom, and the horses are reacting in some way to that.

After all - the stable was flying during the last few weeks of the All-Weather season.

I wrote an article on this a few years ago which showed that on the flat the most profitable area was with trainers 'mildly' out of form. This is not too surprising given the media attention devoted to trainer form. I also drew up a list of trainers who were most punter beneficial from the out of form category, Botti was amongst them

Go on, then - tell us the secret of being, "most punter beneficial," and, therefore, collecting off runners (presumably Losers) from "Trainers out of form." ...

Assuming,  that is, you are not LAYING them.
