i think Kelly deliberately stopped riding to have a better case in the stewards, if he kept riding and lost because the horse didnt want to go past or just looked like he had every chance the result would have been unchanged imo

The first past the post drifted right across the course taking the other horse with him and preventing that one from
having a clear run,then bumped it near line.
If the jockey on the first past the post had grabbed the reigns and yanked the horse's head sideways to straighten it
up,he would have A.lost momentum and B. allowed the other horse a clear,straight run.
Justice has been done.
