I was looking through the dante betting for tomorrow when I noticed that one of the firms offering 116/1 for nafaqa obviously an error. I chanced my arm and put a tenner each way on it, the bet was took and I have the print out to prove it receipt num ect, ten minutes later no trace of the bet and my account had the 20 quid put back in, I rang up and they said it was voided because it was obviously the wrong price and it was I the terms and conditions for them to be allowed to do this . Surely though if they accept the bet they should honour it. Where do I stand on this ? advice would be appreciated.
I think you already know the answer to this one yourself.
They should only have to honour it if it was ever actually at that price and say you went into a bookie's and asked for 40/1 on a horse and they misheard and they wrote 14/1 and it won at 33/1, would you accept the 14/1 purely because it was written on your slip?
I'm sure at worst you would want the 33s and would even be pushing for the 40s and rightly so.
