The fav may not have won but that was a VERY POOR ride
Report ima_mazed66 May 9, 2015 2:29 PM BST
I layed the fav so no axe to grind but it certainly wasn't his finest moment in the saddle but he's clearly a top notch jockey, so just goes to prove that poor rides are often a result of bad decision making and questionable judgement rather than any lack of actual riding ability.

Horse didn`t help him at start, slow away and didn`t look sharp. Then he was in a bad position, he can`t always boss the race. She was staying on well enough, but hardly quickened.
Report Angel Gabrial May 9, 2015 2:31 PM BST
She was also slow and awkward away in her previous race.
Report easygold May 9, 2015 2:33 PM BST
Decision making, and judgement are all involved and very much needed in this sport????? Regards to the horse W.Vow has a stalls problem (same the last day) and needs to brush that up. Position is vital in this sport
Report ima_mazed66 May 9, 2015 2:37 PM BST
Yes of course they are easygold but that doesn't mean if a top class jockey makes a poor decision that he can't ride and isn't still a top class jockey.

It doesn't stop some on here though suggesting purely because of an odd bad decision that such and such a top jockey couldn't ride his granny.....although exactly why he would even want to is beyond me anyway.
Report Angel Gabrial May 9, 2015 2:39 PM BST
I`mnot even sure it was a bad decision to stay inside Ima, more a victim of circumstances. Dammed if he did dammed if he didn`t. She didn`t help him at.

Yeah you could well be right Angel Gabrial and I don't often post my view on races unless I've watched the replay a good few times, but I suppose I was a bit more nonchalant this time having layed the winner, so from a purely personal viewpoint wasn't really fussed either way.

I did check before previously posting though if he had been drawn on the rail and saw he was actually in stall 5 but I suppose if you get a slow start you have to decide between racing up the inner to save ground and and trusting to luck for a run or go to the outer and cover more ground.

Just so much better than everybody else.

Smaller field and so on and probably how Graham Lee should have ridden the one he got into so much trouble on earlier in the day at Haydock.
