Due to the way voting went in Scotland and England, it was clear very few realised the potential consequences of their self interested narrow view. No thoughts of the greater good, of the wider society and the implications for the future of the UK.

By the time of the next election the UK will have to have devised a new name to encompass Wales, England & Northern Ireland as a political entity. Plus, our exports will no longer be welcomed at a favorable rate by the rest of the European continent.

Economically and politically the country formally known as the United Kingdom will be an irrelevance both politically and economically, to the delight of the little englander faction.

I never bet on politics, themover, because I have no faith whatsoever in the British electorate's judgement, or should I say 'lack of it'.

It would be better if we were an irrelevance politically. Dropping bombs on countries whose cultures and diversities we understand little of does nothing but destabilise the world. Loper struggling with the reality that everyone is entitled to an opinion.

It would be great if they had an opinion that they could justify with reason.

Unfortunately their opinion is defined for them by the mass media and noone want to appear 'out of touch' with the 'national mood'.

I found myself agreeing with a lot of the sentiment of clegg's resignation but like others felt he needed chinning for what he did.

Here's a view - austerity is a con-trick foisted on us by the Conservatives, and swallowed by Labour, and, to a large extent, the media. It's aim? - to replenish the pockets of rich people who had their wealth dented in the financial crash, at the expense of ordinary people and our public services. There's no need for it - we can print money.

I voted for an anti-austerity party. I had a view - contrary to the largely toothless media. (All national newspapers, bar one, are run by rich businessmen).

Labour need a dynamic, self serving wannabe dictator blessed with a cheshire grin at the drop of a hat, altogether now " things can only get better......." The country doesn't need another one though, nor does the rest of the world.
