This howler of an error came despite us living in a country where every bookie known to man had priced up the race several days beforehand, plus we have the benefit of a betting website which displays and compares prices being offered across the bookmaking industry.
How on earth did this journalist manage to get it SO wrong, and how does he keep his job?
