Showtime for this beast today. I'm well aware that it only won a 3 rated handicap , but the manner it won by looked very good in my eye. It was like Usain Bolt/and a 1mile 4 furlongs beast like Frankel imo. Gosden thinks a lot of this horse and although this is a far bigger nut to crack, if it wins, although I'm no trader I will be greening up having backed it at fancy prices ante-post.
GL with your own selections and I may add I won't be backing it today in the hope it wins and green up at a predicted 3/1 if it does oblige. |

Dunno Dunno Dunno but I just cashed-out on my score at 5/2 Jack Hobbs in the Dante and put it on ol'Man River instead. Clutching at straws in a fascinating race
|

Anybody think that if both of Gosden's beasts run in the Derby that Jack Hobbs could overturn the form against the FAV over an extra two furlongs? Never say never, but I would think it unlikely. One thing for sure, JH is no handicapper...

Does anybody have any news about The Queens horse Peacock,
It was a Strong Staying on 2nd at Newmarket 9F to Golden Horn, This - Peacock has plenty of Stamina in his Dam`s side, http://www.pedigreequery.com/peacock6 |

JH was very babyish still for me. If he is set straight he's a massive player. I still think Zawraq is the each way steal, I've loaded up at 12/1 and 10/1, fancy it strongly.

I think it's far from inconceivable that Jack Hobbs could reverse form over 12f at Epsom. He'd have to handle the track well and have all of that greenness out of his system though. The question is, will Gosden let him take his chance, or will he take the easier option and go to Ascot?

Angela rebeccchi is right , ive been doing it myself i think it will be a lot lower on the day aswell , you can tell weld is excited by this one
I feel sure of a good run in what is so far a very open race |

Zawraq - Might Stay/Should stay,
The 2nd-3rd-4th Behind him last time out in the Guineas Trial,(Heavy 15 Seconds outside Standard time) All got Beaten next time out. |

I'm guessing Gosden will play both his cards here. The FAV was originally going for the French Derby whis is less than 1 mile four furlongs which makes me think he will run Jack Hobbs as 'insurance' in case the FAV doesn't stay. It's all a guessing game at the moment but one thing I can say for sure is that this is not the srongest Derby ever seen. |

Showtime for this beast today. Hopeful more than confident and was going to back it to place at 11/10 for a place to get my ante-post stakes back but have decided to leave it in the lap of the gods and let whatever will be, will be.

Thanks for the kind words onlooker. The horse owes me nothing as I backed it second time out when I noticed Gosden had entered it for the Derby after winning a small Wolverhampton maiden.
No idea the plans for the beast but imo it's highly unlikely the two will be in the same race again. |

Could the thread title be right come Saturday? Might stick a few bob on given the opposition. Any thoughts?
|
|
By:
Trolled the city centre today getting a few bob on JH at 10/11. No certainty but with no Golden Horn in the race it must have a decent chance. I'm not a lover of the French Derby form so I also stuck a couple of bob on the C.S.F. with Storm The Stars to be second, and the other way around. (just in case)
If this beast can't beat this lot I will be disappointed, as will Godolphin.. |

Sweet. Especially getting the forecast stotting up also.

C.S.F. paid £13.15p. Excata paid £10.60p. Had I had my forecast on the Exacta it would have paid less.
The moral of the story? Don't get involved with the t0te. 30% of your hard earned is swallowed up by the baldy one. Better chance of winning playing roulette in a casino. They only take 2.7% of your hard earned.. |
