could anyone please tell me what has happened to this horse I know it was injured and getting it ready for 2014 king George when it had a setback not heard anything since
Yes Foxy, a beautiful estate with excellent wine. Brought some back. My wine glass at home is a Simonsig etched one.
I was there January 2014 and had to inform the family that the horse was out for 2 seasons. Although they do not own him they are very aware of his exploits.
It take it you've been too?

Love Franschhoek, Foxy. We've been to the winelands a few times over the years, some of the most stunning landscapes anywhere.
We are already booked to go for the England tour next winter, visiting Newlands, The Wanderers and hopefully Centurian as its in the Joberg region.

Thanks for the tip on Cafe Bon Bon, Foxy. We will have a few days up there between Tests and shall definitely visit.
Del Aire must be the most manicured place on earth. Spectacular. We've popped in a couple of times. Did a wine tasting on one occasion and couldn't believe how cheap the wine was for its quality, thinking that the price per case was the price per bottle! Very embarrassing.

I got some prices mixed up over there when buying tickets for the rugby.
the best seats had been sold out ,priced at 140 so I bought the 2nd best at 115 which seemed about right going of what you would pay in the uk,i was very pleased and surprised when the 115 was rand which is less than a tenner.

Yeh, the rand rate has been ridiculous for a couple of years now, since Mandela passed away. Clearly the world markets have no faith in Jacob Zuma to maintain stability in SA. And long term the stats do seem worrying.
We have refused to be conned by the UK agents into buying Test match tickets for £50 a throw. They'll go on sale in SA around October at roughly 100 rand each. The only problem might be getting day 1 at Newlands.
Incidentally our fav place for lunch/sundowners in Franschhoeck is La Rochelle. Wonderful views across the valley.

if you struggle for day 1 you might as well get based in the spring bok arms for the day.
Whether we struggle or not we'll be there!
I assume they still only sell SAB products?
