Any reports?

I don't really buy the story about thousands of accumulators coming unstuck on Annie Power
if the cumulative weight of small money accas is being talked about, would the typical small money acca not be going for bigger prices than those 4 on day 1? turning to singles, the results don't look like brilliant results for the bookie (to a layman that is), several winners near the top of the card would be interested in reports |
By:
people always go on about how much the bookies have lost etc,
always omitting to add that they are only paying out with other people's money ![]() |
By:
90% OF THE RINGS AT CHELTENHAM ARE FILLED WITH COMMISSION AGENTS,THE LAYERS WOULD HAVE LOST WITH THE RIDICULOUS EXPENSES,HOPE THIS HELPS!
By:
HEARD A CLASSIC ON THE FIRST DAY FROM ONE OF BRITAINS LEADING COMMISSION AGENTS"I WOULD HAVE WON MORE IF ANNIE POWER HADNT OF FALLEN"

interesting factmachine
suspected as much so a whole industry is being kept afloat by virtue of the fact that some don't know how to use the exchange |
By:
NO SOME CHOOSE NOT TO USE IT!
By:
when gleesson on ch 4 was showing us the bookies book winners and losers what i couldnt get my head around was in the jlt,
pit zig was a huge drifter 3,s to 5,s but was a bigger loser in the book than the supposedly better backed 2nd fav [ whoose name ive forgot] how does that work, surely a bookie lengthens a horse because he aint taking any money on it |
By:
IT WORKS SOMETHING LIKE THIS**** HERE COMES TANYA,PUT SOMETHING IN THE BOOK QUICK
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() FACT! |
By:
First time if the bookie was betting without an opinion the last two things he would have done on bet fair would be to lay the second fav and back the drifter back.some horses are over backed when they drift and horses that shorten can be hard to lay cos the punter thinks he's missed the price.by laying the 2nd fav and backing the drifter he should hold more money if he gets a result.i don't know who you are first time and if this is a bit basic I apologise just trying to help.
By:
FIRST TIME,I DONT KNOW WHO THE BOOKMAKER IN QUESTION WAS ON TV BUT IF IT WAS A FRONT LINE ONE WHICH I STRONGLY SUSPECT IT WAS THEN IN REALITY THE LIKELEYHOOD IS THERE WOULDNT BE A LOSER IN THE BOOK,REGIT BEING A CLASSIC EXAMPLE OF THIS PRACTICE!
By:
rightly or wrongly i didnt automaticaly assume it was an exchange screen,i thought it was some bookmakers software that reflected bets they,d struck in the ring
By:
gleeson was to busy going around inventing imaginary bets that hadnt been struck 20grand ew on this 10 ew 4 times on that 100 grand on this etc,to find time and explain b ets that had been struck
By:
That screen was the bookmakers book.it tells you exactly how much each horse wins and loses.what you have to remember is that wasn't on the off.fact is right on the off they could have all been winners obviously for a lot less.fact is obsessed with other people's business why I have no idea.
By:
IMAGINARY BETS IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE!

NOW LAST YEAR THE BOOKS (IE THE LAYERS) HAD ONE OF THE BEST CHELTENHAMS EVER
,ONE OF THE COMMISSION AGENTS ON THE RAILS WON 4.5K AFTER GREENING UP ON EVERY RACE,WHEN HE HAD PAID THE STAFF,THE BADGE,THE ENTRANCE,THE DIGS,THE FUEL,AND FOOD,THE STAFF GOT MORE WAGES THAN HIM HE WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF STACKING SHELVES AT ASDA ![]() ![]() ![]() |

THIS YEAR HE DECIDED TO BE BOLD AND STAND EVERY JOLLY FOR A MONKEY,AFTER THE FIRST DAY THE SCREAMS WERE UNMERCIFUL

Fact it's the non stop negativity.why does it matter what that bookmaker does.as regards the bets struck I'm sure some are exaggerated and the bigger genuine ones are account bets but it helps to push an industry that needs a push.im out of it from a financial point of view but your living depends on it .your average punter would have been interested to see a book and to hear about the bets struck.
By:
It's all lies anyway
By:
REGIT,YOU INSIST ON CALLING THEM BOOKMAKERS,AND IT VERY MUCH MATTERS WHAT THESE CHARLATANS DO!

I never understand what all the fuss is with Cheltenham. I go on holiday for January and February and EVERY year my profits from the festival pay for it. this year was no different.
this year I backed back [ on here ] six horses all week. last year it was none . I'm probably going soft ..they all lost. |
