Further, and detailed analysis, of the site's erratic performance has led me to conclude that ...
the problem is due to the Cheltenham festival being held at the same time of year as the clocks going forward. Although the IT dept is staffed with straight A students (Apless, Awful and Ar$eholes), it has finite resources. The head if IT has to prioritise, and so the planning work for the clocks going forward has to take priority, and there's only 2 weeks to go. So, next year, I propose that we put the clocks forward in late May, when the racing calendar is less frenetic. |
